Established in 1910 as the Wright Flying School, Maxwell Air Force Base is a United States Air Force (USAF) installation under the Air Education and Training Command (AETC). The installation is located in Montgomery, Alabama, United States.
The bid was for replacing the furniture in a three-story building on the base, which would serve the purpose of being a gathering space and working space for the men and women at Maxwell AFB. There were to be private and shared offices, conference rooms, and even ancillary spaces for outdoor lounging or common-area collaboration. The key objective was to have furniture that not only looked good, but also could withstand rugged wear and tear from the enlisted men and women who would be using it every day.
Upon being selected as a vendor, Valuebiz and our team of designers and product experts worked alongside the Maxwell AFB representatives to curate finishes and furniture needs that worked to bring the vision of this reinvented space to life. VBI pulled together multiple furniture options and alternate options using our unique boutique approach and 30 years of industry experience to complete this project. VBI provided all furniture needs for the new building, which included private office spaces, flexible remote working/coworking spaces, multiple conference rooms, multiple reception and lounge areas, and outdoor lounge areas as well.
